Like all good runners, Brony takes everything in her stride. She was club elected secretary in 2020, just prior to our meeting moving from the clubrooms to virtual due to Covid. As if that wasn't enough challenge, Brony came on board at a time when the club was not only growing, but actively seeking to broaden our engagement in our community. We were also implementing a Run Leader coaching program at the time. Brony slotted right in and has overseen significant progress. Brony was also the initial founder of Williamston Cyril Curtain Reserve Park Run, and actively volunteers for other clubs and services. Brony's work is not done...
John, along with a select few, run in the first handicap, making a foundation Hobbo. His running achievements include three handicap wins in a row, the only three-peat in Hobbos history. Despite hanging up his running shoes, John remained a fixture around the club at handicaps, minding keys at timeball runs and track sessions, gifts, and social events, John was made Patron in 2018 and a Life Member in 2021. Sadly John passed away on 15th November 2021. The club was made so much better by John being such an loyal member. We all miss John's jokes.
